We are the Aftermath

On May 28, 2024, an explosion at Youngstown’s Realty Building caused one death, seven injuries and extensive damage. In the aftermath, residents of nearby International Towers were evacuated due to potentially dangerous conditions. The complex provides affordable housing to 173 people aged 62 and older or with disabilities. Two months later, five residents tell their stories of displacement.
