And right after that, I got a call from the director of "Twilight: New Moon".
I'm not sure if you're familiar with "Twilight", it's a big deal with vampires and vampire lovers.
And he said, "I heard your song "Whatever You Like" and I would really love if you wrote a song for my film "Twilight: New Moon."
And I was honored.
I said, "Oh my God, of course.
I'll do my best."
And he said, "Okay, you have 72 hours.
I hope you've read all of the "Twilights" thus far."
And I had not, so I was terrified.
And he brought me in to watch an early cut of the film and I realized, "Okay, wait a second.
This is a tale about a young woman in high school who's very much in love with a vampire and he's in love with her.
So much so, that he leaves her because he knows if they accidentally have adult relations, he will kill her, 'cause he's a vampire, he can't help it."
And that's when I thought, "Oh, this is just another unavailable guy story.
I can do this.
I have experience."
So if you tune into the film, you'll see Bella in her pickup truck with Edward the vampire.
And they're very sad 'cause they're about to say goodbye forever.
