We begin with the nose.
We start over on this side of our page.
With an oval.
Inside of that oval, we draw another smaller oval.
And then we fill in all around that.
We're just going to colo that in leaving that white space towards the center.
Good.
The polar bear is the largest of all bear species.
In fact, it can measure up to ten feet tall when standing on its hind legs.
Now we're going to come up.
Over.
And add the ear.
The ear is a letter C. A smaller letter C and then a little bit of line shading inside the ear.
And then come down just a little.
The other ear is going to stick up right over here on this side.
We come around and in round and in.
And again a little bit of line shading.
Good.
Now for the mouth.
Center base of the nose.
Over up dash either side of the mouth.
Down and up.
Now let's come back up here.
Add a little line for the snout and then the eyes.
One.
Two.
Next the eyebrows.
A polar bear skin is actually black.
Its fur is translucent.
It appears white because of how it reflects light.
Now for the neck.
We had a lower lip and then a little tuft of fur like this.
A little tuft of fur here.
And then this one here.
Good.
Down.
And then we're going to add the foot.
First the leg and then out in and up.
The other leg we're going to see the underside of the paw.
Looks like this out.
Come round.
And then.
You know, I usually have a dad joke to tell you in the show, and I just can't think of anything for this drawing.
You'll just have to bear with me.
Oval circle.
Circle, circle.
And then we fill each of those in.
1 to 2 lines for the paws.
There.
Now we're gonna add the back starting from the head.
Just this cheek right here.
When I come around down and in.
Now for the hind legs.
Sorry.
About halfway up the body.
Come around.
Down, out and and up.
At the underbelly.
With a line across.
And then there's another leg here.
One, two.
One, two.
The tail is the letter M. We're going to add a little bit of setting.
Setting is where or when a story takes place.
We're going to add some snow.
Just quick little dashes.
Quick little curved dashes is all that is.
Lastly, sure to sign your name.
Take pride in your work.
There is your polar bear.
That is one cool polar bear.
